2025
A Year of Praise, Purpose, and Renewal
This year has been a powerful journey thus far for the National Youth Ministry—marked by praise, purpose, and God’s unmistakable hand at work. From honoring our leaders and youth to empowering the next generation and taking bold steps into new mission fields, we have witnessed the Lord’s faithfulness every step of the way. A particularly special milestone has been reached this year as we recently celebrated our 30th national activity/conference in 17 years of ministry—a testimony of God’s sustaining grace and the dedication of countless leaders and youth. Truly, 2025 has been a year of momentum for the Kingdom and for Abundant Life Missions International.
Pastorship
In August, I was called upon to serve as interim pastor at one of ALMI’s mission churches in the community of La Suana. Though pastoring was not part of my plans for this year, I have embraced the opportunity with enthusiasm and gratitude. The congregation, deeply rooted in the cultural essence of Nicaragua’s mountain region, has shown remarkable warmth and hospitality to me. My goal is to impart ALMI’s vision of revival, growth, and strong leadership to this pioneer work. Looking ahead, we plan to complete the stone church building that was recently constructed on the property, as well as build a modest parsonage to prepare the way for a permanent pastor. This season has been both humbling and inspiring, and I am excited to see how God will continue to bless this community.
Leadership Conference
This year we celebrated the 15th Leadership Conference with the theme “Hosanna in the Highest.” More than just another gathering, this conference marked a historic milestone: it was the 30th national event held in the 17-year history of the National Youth Ministry. The theme highlighted the power of praise as we stand in the gap for those we lead. In Hebrew, Hosanna is a cry meaning “Save us!”—and as Jesus entered Jerusalem triumphantly, the people lifted their voices in praise, declaring Him as their salvation and interceding for their families.
Building on this theme of praise, the conference featured teachings on the vital role of music ministry in the church, as well as other key leadership topics. A highlight of the event was a special banquet where each leader was honored for his service in local youth ministry. It was a time of joyful fellowship, delicious food, and heartfelt recognition.
We hosted our first-ever Pastors’ Kids VIP Event under the theme “An Unbreakable Legacy.” Inspired by Brother Samuel, our national vice president—and a pastor’s kid himself—we set out to encourage, uplift, and invest in the lives of those who often face the unique pressures of growing up in family ministry. Samuel shared a powerful testimony of both trials and triumphs, reminding attendees that while being a pastor's kid comes with challenges, it is also marked by joy, victory, and divine favor. His message offered comfort and healing, affirming that each one is not only blessed to belong to a pastoral family but also chosen for a special and holy calling. The evening concluded with a time of refreshing fellowship and an elegant dinner, leaving participants deeply encouraged and renewed.
Missions Expedition
Shortly after Easter, I had the privilege of joining a missions team led by ALMI's International Director, James Setser, on a journey to the Republic of Georgia. The purpose of this trip was to reconnect with relationships formed during previous visits and to continue surveying the land as we prayerfully prepare for ALMI to pioneer a future work in this nation.
Although our stay was brief, the Lord allowed us to accomplish much. As we traveled through several villages, He granted us divine appointments—many with acquaintances the team had met on earlier trips. One particularly memorable moment came when a village family graciously invited us into their home for lunch. The table was filled with an abundant spread, a reflection of the incredible warmth and hospitality of the Georgian people.
For me, it was a first-time experience in a country of breathtaking beauty, with its majestic mountains, ancient cultural heritage, and vibrant traditions. Yet even more moving than the landscapes was the kindness and openness of the people we encountered. This trip not only strengthened our vision for future ministry in Georgia but also reminded us of God’s heart for the nations and the opportunities He places before us.
In April, we hosted our 11th Summit on the Great Commission with the theme “For This I Have Been Sent,” drawn from the words of Jesus in Luke 4:43. The summit emphasized that God has sent each of us with a specific purpose: to proclaim the gospel of the Kingdom to all nations. Teachings focused on revitalizing our evangelistic efforts and exploring innovative approaches to large-scale, creative evangelism. A special plenary forum gave young people the opportunity to ask important questions and receive thoughtful, biblical answers. The evening services were especially powerful, featuring intercession for the nations, the persecuted church, and believers imprisoned for their faith. Throughout the summit, the Holy Spirit poured out a fresh anointing on the youth, equipping them anew for the work of the Great Commission.
In June, the Nathan Fouts Memorial Tabernacle came alive as youth and leaders from every district gathered for our annual National Youth Rally. This popular event has become a highlight of the year, drawing our churches together for a powerful evening of worship, refreshing, and fellowship in the presence of God. Each church came prepared with a special offering to bless the national youth ministry, and together we shared in a lively fundraiser dinner that will help accel ongoing and upcoming projects. It was truly a night of unity, generosity, and renewed vision for what God is doing among our youth.

Awards Gala
This January, the National Youth Ministry gathered for a night of elegance, inspiration, and heartfelt celebration at our 3rd Awards Gala. The event brought together the most outstanding youth from across our churches in MIVA Nicaragua—young men and women who were nominated by their pastors and leaders for their exceptional service, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication to the work of God.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the grand prize, The Sword of the Spirit, awarded to Pastor Victorino Miranda. His tireless work with the children at the House of Refuge Prevention Center has left a lasting impact, embodying the true heart of ministry. Standing faithfully by his side, his wife Alicia was honored with the Shield of Faith for her steadfast support and service at the House of Refuge. Together, their testimony shines as a beacon of faith and perseverance, inspiring youth across ALMI to press forward in their calling.
The gala culminated in a beautiful banquet dinner, where laughter, fellowship, and gratitude filled the room. More than just an awards ceremony, it was a powerful reminder that God is raising up a generation marked by faithfulness and passion for His Kingdom. We are immensely proud of our youth in ALMI and celebrate the legacy of excellence they continue to build.
